Parking

Hornblower Alcatraz Landing at Pier 33 offers parking on a first-come, first-served basis. There is also metered street parking in the Fisherman's Wharf area, for a max of 4 hours, and 15 commercial parking lots within a few blocks of Pier 33.

Local Tips

The Alcatraz Island Ferry and Tour takes about 2.5 hours. Wear comfortable shoes (no sandals or heals), sunglasses, sun block, and rain gear or jackets in the winter. Please don’t feed the birds.

They run tours almost everyday to the rock. Be sure to call ahead and get reservations during peak season, as the tickets do sell out.
